Construction

The demolition and construction began in March 2006. We started restructuring the basement foundation and first floor system while developing a remodeling plan that would comply modern codes and city setbacks. During the initial floor rebuild, we removed the existing mechanical systems because they were dangerous and not to code. In April, the city approved my drawings and we began full demolition. By July, the demolition was complete and most of the frame had been rebuilt. In August, we finished the last of the framing, dried in the roofs, and sealed the walls with Tyvek. During the Fall, the windows were installed, the siding was mounted, and a standing seam metal roof was laid. The contractor completed these final design details.
